This Career Cluster prepares learners for careers in planning, managing and performing marketing activities as well as supply chain decision-making and materials moving.
According to the latest statistics, there are 16 million jobs in sales and related occupations. Advertising, marketing, promotions, public relations and sales managers hold more than 700,000 jobs, projected to be in the top five industries showing substantial positive growth in job openings. Over 300,000 high-paying management positions are likely to be available over the next decade. Employment opportunities for retail salespeople in Tennessee are expected to grow by 8.00% through 2024.
Tennessee ranks 1st of all states for highest concentration of employment in Supply Chain and materials movement related jobs. Tennessee is projected to average over 9,200 annual openings within the supply chain industry annually.
Individuals with a college degree or computer skills will be sought for managerial positions in sales, logistics, management information systems, marketing and e-marketing.
