Overview

This initiative, led by Rutherford Works and school Ambassadors, was inspired by the Niswonger Foundation's statewide Work Ethic Distinction for graduating high school seniors. By participating in the Rutherford County Work Ethic Distinction Program, students set themselves apart and demonstrate their commitment to personal and professional growth. This program serves as a foundation for future success in high school, college and their careers.

• To provide students with a practical understanding of workplace expectations and professional conduct
• To give students a competitive edge as they enter high school and begin thinking about future careers

Additional Details

To earn the certificate, students must achieve a total of 15 or more points on the achievement scale based on grades, attendance and community service. There are 7 achievement categories, each worth a predetermined number of points. Students who score a total of 15 points by meeting the criteria earn the Rutherford County Work Ethic Distinction!
