Rutherford County Work Ethic Distinction
Rutherford County Work Ethic Distinction is a professional development program for 8th grade students. It provides them with an opportunity to show their readiness for high school through community service, skill building and personal growth.
Overview
This initiative, led by Rutherford Works and school Ambassadors, was inspired by the Niswonger Foundation's statewide Work Ethic Distinction for graduating high school seniors. By participating in the Rutherford County Work Ethic Distinction Program, students set themselves apart and demonstrate their commitment to personal and professional growth. This program serves as a foundation for future success in high school, college and their careers.

Additional Details
To earn the certificate, students must achieve a total of 15 or more points on the achievement scale based on grades, attendance and community service. There are 7 achievement categories, each worth a predetermined number of points. Students who score a total of 15 points by meeting the criteria earn the Rutherford County Work Ethic Distinction!
