Discovery Center

The Discovery Center at Murfree Spring, chartered in 1986, is a 26,000 square foot hands-on museum and nature center created for the children and families of Middle Tennessee and the surrounding area. Serving over 130,000 visitors each year, Discovery Center sits waiting for children to venture in and learn about the world around them. Inside, kids are free to explore hands-on exhibits. Outside, there are 20 acres of wetland open for exploration.

The Discovery Center is open year-round, seven days a week for walk-in visitors and self-guided tours. Schools, home school groups, scout and day care groups visit daily to take advantage of the variety of engaging STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) activities.
