What is an ACT Work Ready Community?

ACT's Work Ready Communities initiative is a nationally recognized program that pairs employers’ support with assessments of employees and job seekers. The ACT WorkKeys National Career Readiness Certificate (WorkKeys NCRC) is a portable, industry-recognized, evidenced-based workforce skill credential, job-seekers and employers can align with open positions based on skill level.

Businesses can use the program’s tools to hire and promote employees into optimal positions. That leads to reduced training costs, lower turnover, improved operations and customer service, and higher profits.

The certificate is awarded at four levels based on performance:

What this means for Job-seekers:

Understand what skills are required by employers and how to prepare for success.

What this means for Employers:

By joining the initiative, employers can instantly widen their talent pool, gain the opportunity to quickly pinpoint candidates to efficiently and successfully fill that open positions. As a result, hiring decisions lead to increased workplace productivity, higher return on investment and cost savings.
