TrustPoint Hospital officials, along with Murfreesboro Mayor Shane McFarland, announced today plans for a 148-bed hospital expansion, representing a $57 million investment.

Pending state approval, the addition of 148 beds to its existing location in Murfreesboro’s Gateway District will support the hospital’s growth and creation of close to 400 new jobs within the next five years, which have an average annual salary of $67,808.

“TrustPointHospital is pleased to have the support of the IDB as we progress with our plans to expand clinical services at our hospital,” said TrustPoint Chief Executive Officer Dr. Jeffrey Woods. “The IDB’s support helps make possible the important work of caring for the most vulnerable in our community, while also providing for the creation of hundreds of new and skilled jobs. In the next several weeks, TrustPoint Hospital will present its service line expansion plan for approval under the Tennessee Certificate of Need process. This proposed expansion will meet the intense demand and need for fully integrated behavioral health and rehabilitation services in Rutherford and Bedford counties.”
