RuCo Second Chance

The Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce and Rutherford Works are partnering with state and community agencies and local manufacturing companies to provide a pre-employment training program for those currently incarcerated who are 90 days away from completing their sentence.
 

 
The goals of the program include reduced recidivism, providing a meaningful & sustainable career path for formerly incarcerated and providing the manufacturing community with a trained and certificate bearing production workforce that increases retention.

  • Become an employer partner
  • Participate in mock interviews
  • Jobs must pay $12+ per hour
  • Participate in job fair at completion of program
  • Be prepared to provide job offer letters

  • Interest in working in manufacturing
Note: Paticipants will include those with non-violent felonies and misdemeanors.

  • OSHA 10 Certification
  • National Career Readiness Certificate
  • Manufacturing Skills Standards Council Certified Production Technician - Production Module Cerificate
  • Certificate of Completion from Chattanooga State with 8 hrs of continuing education
